Start your Makeup Artist career with a boost from PiF and become a Junior Artist to learn firsthand from a professional. With this compensated option you will assist our Lead and Senior Artists at photoshoots, weddings, and other large events. Once completing the required hours and models to build your Phoenix in Flight Artist portfolio you will have the ability to book your very own clients and opportunities to advance to Associate and Lead Artist positions with higher commissioned rates provided with our studio vanity and kit.

REQUIREMENTS

•Must be able to legally work in the US.

•Must sign an employment contract that includes a non-compete agreement.

•Must be available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

•Must complete 40 hours of training/shadowing and 6 models to advance.

•Must work under the direct supervision of a PiF Lead or Senior Artist.

•Must have a valid Indiana Esthetics or Cosmetology license.

COMPENSATION 

•W-2 Employee Classification.
•$10/hr for assisting at weddings, photoshoots, and training.

 

ADVANCE TO ASSOCIATE ARTIST
•50% commission for Signature Makeup Applications including Photo or Prom Makeup.

•10% retail commission on all Phoenix in Flight Beauty retail products.

Grow your business by being able to take in-studio appointments in the beautiful Downtown Lafayette area. This part-time booth rental option includes a full vanity equipped with an artist worksurface, mirror, professional light, stool, and trash receptacle. Also included in our booth rental is full access to a sanitation and disposables back bar with things you'll need to keep your artistry neat and sanitary.

REQUIREMENTS

•Must be insured with proof of insurance.

•Must have a valid Indiana Esthetics or Cosmetology license.

•Must use own mobile kit and be properly cleaned and sanitized.

•Must book own clientele.

•Must work only during normal business hours. (8am-5pm Mon-Friday w/ Rotating Sat)
•Must submit 3 business related references.
 

PART-TIME TERMS

•3 days a week, appointment only.

•6 month lease.

•$400 deposit, $200/month booth rent due every 1st of the month.

•Part-time tenants may be sharing a station with another artist for the other half of the week.

•Rotating walk-ins allowed only on Saturdays during the Lafayette Farmer's Market.

•Opportunity to be offered clients as 1099 Contractor from PiF.
